Virtual Tutoring Program - Guatemala (May 2022)

D.R.O.P.S., Project Somos and the Calgary Foundation came together to fund and set up the Virtual Tutoring Program. This program provided the much needed support for vital academic tutoring to help keep children in school after 2 years of public school closures due to COVID19.

Social Support during Economic Crisis - Sri Lanka (April 2022)

During the difficult times of the economic crisis, D.R.O.P.S. provided financial support to assist Dimuthu Foundation in its work to empower underprivileged people, children without parents and disabled children. It is precisely these people who are affected by the impact of the economic crisis.

Transportation and Food Program Support - Tanzania (March & April 2022)

D.R.O.P.S. proudly supports “Kindergarten of Joy” by providing funds towards the immediate needs to ensure the school can remain open until the end of the school term to ensure the children can continue to learn and receive an additional two meals per day.

Vegetable Garden Project - Tanzania (January 2022)

Through providing more nutritious meals, the project also aims to simultaneously reduce the schools spent on vegetables at the market, making the school more independent from rising food prices and use the savings to buy learning materials such as textbooks, and bookshelves, desks and tables for the classroom.

Water Project - Tanzania (July 2021)

In Mafinga, Tanzania, we wanted to make a long-term impact on the community. The most sustainable solution was to provide a water source for the school. Therefore, a borehole water source and infrastructure was built to supply the toilets, kitchen and common areas.

Wingfield Refugee Camp Project – South Africa (March 2021)

In 2020 many refugees were located in camps as the Covid-19 pandemic gripped the country. Wingfield Refugee Camp housed over 800 people including approximately 60% children, lacking basic necessities. D.R.O.P.S. distributed basic need packages and shared tips on essential hygiene topics.

Visit to the Durbanville Children's Home in South Africa (December 2019)

D.R.O.P.S. visited Durbanville Children’s Home, a Non-Profit Organization and one of the oldest children home’s in South Africa. Our aim was to ensure maximum love during the festive holiday period, and the children enjoyed the “Holidays Games Tournament” as well as the “Toddler Games”.

Inauguration of the new village community center in South Africa (December 2019)

D.R.O.P.S. sponsored a new community and learning center. A community space where children can play in a safe environment while mothers or grandmothers socialize and students of all ages can improve their knowledge. This not only increases open-mindedness, but also steadily improves a damaged social structure.

Sri Lanka (March 2019)

Sri Lanka's lower classes are particularly exposed to health problems because they lack basic knowledge on medical care topics. To this end D.R.O.P.S. offers important educational classes on brushing teeth, washing hands, personal hygiene and more during the visits to reduce a variety of health problems and risks
