The "Kindergarten of Joy" is located on the outskirts of Mafinga, where there are not many households. Only a few children are coming from families in the direct vicinity, but almost 95% of the children (approximately 128 children) are coming from further away and rely on the bus transport provided by the school.
Faced with rising gasoline prices and dwindling funds to cover the school's operating costs, the school is struggling to keep the school running until the end of the term. Direct relief was urgently needed for both the school's food program and transportation to and from school.
One of D.R.O.P.S. Foundation key pillars is to provide support and direct relief to children in need therefore supporting “Kindergarten of Joy” by providing funds towards the immediate needs to ensure the school can remain open until the end of the school term to ensure the children can continue to learn and receive an additional two meals per day.
