Initiative “Strong Immune System” in Sri Lanka (April 2014)

Project description:

Hygiene training in Maradana

Help is needed in the remote northwest province of Sri Lanka. Maradana in the Colombo District is a very poor region where the simplest things are scarce.

Trained volunteers from D.R.O.P.S. imparted vital precautionary information to protect and strengthen the immune system to people living there in the poorest conditions in April 2014. They gave simple and practical tips on daily hygiene, especially oral and personal hygiene, which is often neglected in this extremely precarious environment. The active support of the "Warehouse Project" was very well received and hopefully made a lasting contribution to improving the health conditions of the residents.
